Joanna Debenham lives in Burwell, Cambridgeshire, England.
Joanna has performed in the UK and abroad, having performed in St Pancras Euston Road, and Derby Cathedral. She has given recitals locally and in Devon. She particularly enjoys singing at weddings. Her Oratorio repertoire includes: Handel Messiah, Bach St John Passion and St Matthew Passion, Haydn Nelson Mass and Creation, Mozart Mass in c minor, Vesparae Solemnis de Confessore and Requiem, Mendelssohn Elijah, Faure Requiem, Verdi Requiem and Brahms Deutsches Requiem. Other solo parts can be learnt on request. Her recital repertoire draws on a wide range of music especially Baroque music, Operatic Arias, English Art Songs and Broadway Musicals.
On Saturday 5th March 2004, she was joined by a fellow graduate of Huddersfield Polytechnic, the Counter-tenor Simon Clulow one of the Vicars Choral at Wells Cathedral, for a concert in Fordham Parish Church. The programme culminated in a performance of Pergolesi’s wonderful setting of the Stabat Mater and was received with critical acclaim.
Joanna’s repertoire includes several pieces especially associated with weddings. These include: Bach Ave Maria, Handel Let the Bright Seraphim, and Mozart Laudate Dominum.
Rates are open to negotiation. Weddings start at £150.00 plus travel costs.
